About this Blog
Finally! I`ve had the idea for this blog for a while now but I guess procrastination got the better of me and never actually found myself starting it, so this is me finally breaking that stupid cycle and posting the first of hopefully many valuable posts.
The WHY: I`m the kind of person that learns more when I explain something or teach something. I`m a very hyperactive person and to actually sit down and study something, well, let`s just say it`s not my cup of tea and I would rather be doing other gazillion stuff. I remember back in high school(or college for that matter) that when I actually explained to somebody what we were studying at the time, I would notice I understood more, and you wouldn`t have to be a genius to know why: it forced me to spend time with the subject. By explaining to this other person what we were studying for that particular test, I was spending more time reading about the subject, spending more time ON the subject, and you know what they say: “repetition is the mother of learning”. It forced me to dwelve on the subject and unconsciously learn more about it. It forced me to learn. Well, it was soon enough when I realized my laziest approach to learning more was asking people to study with me(so I could explain to them). I guess I can blame my poor persuasion skills for not being a genius today.
Now, combine that with the fact that after I read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki, my whole mindset changed and now I was hooked on taking charge of my financial life and on becoming wealthy beyond imagination. Add to that formula a lot of self-esteem that I`ve always had and you have a mental implosion: I realized if anybody had done it, I could too, I just needed the tools and Kiyosaki among other people taught me you just need financial literacy. That is the key to real wealth. How can you use something you don`t even know what it is or how it works? How can you buy a stock or a mutual fund, or gold or any other commodity, or some real estate as an investment if you don`t even know what it is, how can it be used to your advantage or what can it do for you and your personal financial goals. After my mindset being brainwashed and my eyes being opened on the fact that 90% of the people only have 10% of the money, and the rest 10% of the people have 90% of the money, I dwelve myself into personal development books and never have looked back since. It`s the best of the best.
The WHAT: To learn about money and be a sophisticated investor, Kiyosaki says that you need to learn and study: Securities Law, Corporate Law, Tax Law and Sales. So on top of that, being this blog not only about financial literacy but about money, entrepreneurship, business, how to become wealthy, investments, the wealthy lifestyle and personal development, I`ll include in this blog sections according to the general mission and vision of the blog. This blog is gonna be a learning process for myself, a place where to organize my thoughts and a way for me to grow as I learn each subject I try to tackle and to grow as an individual and I want to share what I learn along the way with you.
The HOW: Writing posts with value. Meaning you and I have to gain something from reading a post, there has to be something of value, something that creates a before and after reading the post. You and I have to leave after reading the post with more that you came with. Each post being a building block to your desired outcome, bringing you closer to where you`re aspiring to be.
The RULES: If you like something, comment. If you don`t like something, comment(mind your ways of course, you`re free to express your point of view but there`s a difference between “I didn`t like this or that” and “eat sh!t dumbass!”). If you think something must be corrected or could be made better, or you have any suggestions, comment too. It would be cool to have a community of people with the same mindset helping each other to grow financially, personally and to reach their goals.
With that said, always remember: “Aim for the moon, even if you miss you`ll land among the stars”.
