Richard Branson: Virgin Group CEO and Founder.
He`s the 261st richest person in the world according to Forbes`2009 list of billionaires. He has an estimated net worth of approximately US$2.5 billion. He has mild dyslexia and had poor academic performance as a student and still made it to the top. He`s a several world record breaker and was knighted in 1999 for “services to entrepreneurship” and presented as a millennium icon. He`s won awards for raising environmental awareness and trying to make the world a cleaner and better place and was also ranked in 2007′s Time Magazine “Top 100 Most Influential People in the World”. He is widely known for his adventurous spirit and lifestyle, taking around-the-world trips on hot air balloons, kiteboarding with supermodels and whatnot, you name it. His name is Richard Branson and is founder and chairman of one of the most recognized and biggest brands in the world, Virgin. Maybe you`ve heard about it? Virgin Mobile, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Trains, Virgin Megastores, and the list goes on and on. Under his Virgin brand there are over 360 companies, and he`s already started a business to take paying passengers to the moon. Oh, did I mention he has his own private island? This guy started from nothing and built his life on big dreams, a bottomless self-esteem and an unbreakable persistence. We can learn a LOT about entrepreneurship, not selling yourself short and setting big goals for yourself, always aiming for the best you can be. Sir Richard, I salute you.
